I am hoping I can put the 4 yearlings in the front half (towards) the tongue of the trailer and the 4 calves in the back half BUT the front 1l2 is a little smaller SO I don't know.

NOPE front 1/2 and back half with a gate/wall panel that swings and locks shut.
