If I remember right. They didn't kill anyone. Just ate the deceased. In all seriousness, in their position, faced with certain death from starvation, which BTW is not an easy way to go, or doing the unspeakable, I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision for them to make.

I'm glad none of us will ever be placed in that position.

But back to winter! I want to see some California snow pictures. C'mon guys, I showed you mine, now show me yours.

To put in perspective, even the ski resorts are closed.

Theres an all time high record of snowfall this year, or so I heard. 16 feet I think.

The teacher made me do a project on them a few years ago. Was supposed to argue why the donnor party were successful people. Out of all the years the teacher held this project, only one team sucessfully convinced people they were successful in the journey. Unfortunately, it was hard to make them look successful. They never got to their destination because they wanted to take a "shortcut". What a bummer. Yes, they only ate deceased, but one man in the group did shoot someone. I believe many who died were infants.
