Granny's gone and done it again

She knows and we called her and explained and ask her to call us when/if he made it home. She did and thanks us profusely.

Sigh. My sis in law and I had a convo about taking MIL's keys away. MIL had had her 90th b'day and was still pretty spry, but there were some indications it was time .... But before we could actually do it, she pulled out in front of a semi.

I will always wish we had acted sooner.

My nephew killed a woman drunk driving. He was 17 and my sister tried to get the man that bought the booze and handed him his keys charged too but they didnt. She had 3 young babies. He grew up in prison. Years and years. He finally was released.

He came out of there like he went in. With the mind of a child. I dont know if he ever caught up or not. He would be around 48 today. I havent seen him.
