Maybe since chickens are not mammals their eggs toxicity is different. In mammals the worm cysts go into the muscle and hide wormers can’t touch them until they get pregnant and the cysts come out to infect the fetus. I thought most birth defects in chicks was from the heat of the incubation period.

Seems that there is a lot of conflicting info on the subject. I will gather together the sources that people have given me and read through them. Today I give the flock the second dose.

I just came back from visiting the piggies. I had to feed 7 sows and 1 boar today! Just carrying the feed took me forever. And they are mostly all sows whose piglets were just weaned, so not a happy bunch. Cleaning the stalls was all fun and games until I reached the last pen. That where I fell in mud.

Just noticed that I don't talk about my pig visits that often. But we go there every monday and wednesday. We have morning shifts.
