My son! I made a video of my chicken coop a loooooooooooooong time ago and he was just a toddler. I called him “bubba” and the name stuck around here. We still call him bubba in real life, also.

Hey y’all. I’m trying to catch up. We finally closed on the house! I worked it out to have Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off work. Then I woke up this morning feeling unwell, and tested positive for covid. Poor DH is doing his best to get things moved.

DH and I were talking today about getting two tests to keep on hand. I have a suspicion I may have had a mild case of Omicron. Maybe DH too. We spent about a week feeling tired with a stuffy head, sneezing, mild sinus headache (me) Hit us a few days after I saw my GI the last time. Yes, we wear N95 and KN 95 masks and do not take them off indoors. So if it did, it snuck in somehow and if it was it was very mild.

I dunno, hubs had something that seemed like it was covid, but he does test every week for work, and two/three tests being negative....I think there's just a bad flu going around too that's NOT that plague.

Just got the electric and gas bill for the motel for the month of Dec. over $2600.00 my aching crack and checkbook.

mother of crap. My worst one ever was in alberta - $420 for the month. That was a COLD month....and that was before new furnace/new better windows/crawl space insulation....but how many units you got running right now?

Wow how many years have you been there? My house I bought for 70,000 is now valued at 300,000.

So we're in the midst of a refi to get rid of our fha loan and get rid of the mortgage insurance that costs us $230/month just to guarantee the banks money in case we default on our loan. Doesn't help us at all. They did an appraisal - and they appraised our house at $670k. Absolutely mind boggling.

I guess the virus is complying with the cdc guidelines. I’m still really congested and tired, but back to work tomorrow.

Still having thermostat issues. It’s like it goes into vacation mode… just blows cold air and gets to 40-50 in the house. I closed up the cats and plants in a room with a space heater last night. Dh and the kids were in a room with a space heater. I took a page from twist’s book and had a bunch of blankets and two dogs. Dh woke me up at some point to say that the heat was working. But this morning it’s back off.

The cats are in a kennel, so no worries about them with the plants.

Oooh, we had our unit blowing cold once when we first moved out here. I can't remember what hubs did to fix it but luckily he figured it out quick.

I have only tried coffee a few times. My mom likes Starbucks, but she is not an active coffee drinker. I don't really like coffee.

I used to not be a coffee drinker....now look at me.

My sibling got me a Canadian themed set lol. One of my friend's kids looooves it. They'll set up nonsensical sentences using every single magnet and I get to read it in an overly dramatic voice....they bust a gut giggling

I have one that doesn't like needles (an understatement!) so takes extremely good care of his teeth to avoid needing a shot. He did really well getting his wisdom teeth out. I have to have that done too.

Hubs has been having teeth issues...more on that once i get caught up on everyone. Yeah, I got my wisdom teeth out before I left the motherland. Pretty much told the dentist "I am moving down to the states, I have no idea what my insurance will be if I even have it...if you see anything that you think could be done in the next couple years, DO IT NOW"

I thought everyone had theirs gone as soon as they started to come in. Robert gets very nervous close to panic at the dentist. This round of dental appts has really had him on edge. He could use something for his nerves.

I had a baby dose of...ugh. What is it...the nuts-to-it-all drug....for my wisdom teeth.

Matter of fact I have done that. Double ferris wheel with Tom. We got stuck at the top and I was terrified! I screamed and there goes my teeth! hahahaa I found them anyway.

Lost most of my birds and rabbits to a dog attack while I was sick. Now I have to rebuild everything. The coops and flocks. Was my fault. I should have sucked it up and been out there doing my job. I was weak and slept off a fever for four days. BTW summer fevers suck worse than winter fevers.

Ok, you said that was sarcasm but oi. that still sucks We can't really control when we get sick and how sick we get.

As far as the tele-doc is concerned yes as far as being tested no. It was the same reaction I have had to the flu after a flu shot. Just as sick as I was back then. and no I have not been jabbed due to other medical issues making it not a good idea.
As far as I am concerned the best thing to come out of all this is Tele-doc. I don't have to be poked and prodded, deal with people, and can get treated for my symptoms.

GRANNY - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Taxes and everything else has had me silent lately, apologies. I was working late tonight too, since my day tomorrow is going to be all sorts of jacked up - gotta take the hubs in to the dentist for 9. Luckily, our dentist is same town as my work - so I can ditch him off, go to work, pick him up when he's done...poor guy. He's had teeth issues for a very long time and has refused to do anything about it....well, that came to a horrible head Monday afternoon - he came home from work early absolutely hurting. He was almost in tears last night it hurt so bad. Made him promise to either call the dentist first thing in the morning or I would call - his first thing in the morning was a little bit earlier than first thing but they still got him in for tomorrow, so...not going in to the office at 6:15 am. Yay my hybrid/remote work, I should still be able to get everything entered. Though I feel like I should have kept going tonight, it wasn't lagging up or anything. It was amazing. Hopefully crack of dawn tomorrow will still yield similar results.

Goose is doing good, MiL is...well...divorce is a messy thing. I'll be glad when we get her in her own place in AZ, and I hope she does well out there.

Debating getting a second bowl of cereal. Hubs isn't wanting to eat - so I'm trying to abstain from eating anything that smells super good but dangit I'm so hungry! One bowl of cheereos just wasn't enough!

Will post some silly goose pics when I'm on the mobile device. Also got a 3 gal tank for the Spare Oom Office Space - need to get that set up and get myself a betta (will post pics later)

Hope you all are doing well, camping I hope you start feeling real better soon, granny- ditto to Robert, I should run off and do some dishes and get the garbage out (yay garbage day tomorrow - it really doesn't feel like tomorrow is Wednesday. My entire weekend was jacked due to Feminine Complaints(tm), and of course hubs being under the weather knocks around the routine too.
