not sure if that will cause issues down the road or not. At the big yak show in Denver last week they did hearing tests on 11 Royals.

Great two days hearing testing yaks! Of the 11 royals tested, 5 could hear in both ears, 3 were deaf in one ear, and 3 were deaf in both ears. This doesn’t necessarily represent the true prevalence in American yaks because this is a small sample size. Below are some pictures of us doing the hearing testing.

IYAK has it every year towards the end of the Denver National Stock Show.

You think its hereditary?
IF she is , WE will all have to keep that in mind when working with and around her. Do NOT want to startle/scare her into hurting herself or any of us.
I suspect its more from line breeding for that color morph.
AND very pricey.
