there was a beautiful german Shepherd laying on the side of the road today. It tried to follow our van

K, you guys got me on a roll talking about Spina Bifida. Here are some photos, the first one is of me holding him in Primary Children's Hospital. Spent many years there off and on. There is one photo where he's asleep. He had just had his right kidney ureters..yes two ..transplanted. Not so unusual to have two. It's just most that do, have them at the right angle. His were slanted so the urine was going back into the kidney. When he got a Sudamonus infection, they decided it was time for surgery. This is a day that we were also on a local news station explaining Spina Bifida. There was a cute guy there drawing photos for kids in the hospital. They interviewed dad and me after him. We got the word out, for sure. .

He's in a chair now. Does well in it. Lives in an apt. by himself.
