Granny's gone and done it again

We have arrow heads down by our lake. It's Utah Lake. There used to be Indians back in the day that lived by the water. We're asked not to pick them up but... people have.
If it's public or state property it's actually illegal to unless you have a permit. But ...
 
They are part of the historical record. Archaeologists can learn a lot about the ancient civilizations, the people who used to live there, if they can study the artifacts and shards and other evidence just where they lay, undisturbed.
