Well we have clay soil, but i add sand and rabbit poo.

When you dig them up, you will see that they have split into a couple, or three pieces. That's when you start getting ..no show of flower, just leaves.

I throw them out. Too tiny.

I never do. But I have some pretty good soil where they're at.

you could dig one and see if they have wet feet or making babies. If neither then feed them.
