Granny's gone and done it again

which is very good as well. Only I cook the veggies seperate from the meat.
I might do that. Robert dont like the veggies. Maybe boil them in some chicken broth? Do you use a crock pot ?

I really really love it. Used a left-over ham bone, taters and onions were home grown and the eggs of course. Pretty cheap and filling meal.
wondered where you got "ham broth".

for the meat yes and then either nuke or steam the carrots, taters and cabbage. Serve the sides with LOTS of butter , salt and pepper.

Made a quart of Grandma's semi-sweet (cheating) pickles last week they should be ready soon . They aren't as sweet as the store boughts or mushy.
fridge pickles? You have been busy!

From one of the many hams I/we have eaten they get saved/frozen and I cook my ham on a rack, when done throw the baking dish in the fridge and then next day scrape off the fat (for chickens) and freeze the ham juice and collegen underneath for stock or beans.
