Yeah that is too close unless you know your line and have been breeding your line for a long time. I have bred nephew to aunt but even that is close. I only line bred a few generations then I find an outcross.

Are your goats Nigerian?

One of the ladies that came to Roberts meeting today was selling schnauzers (I knew I wouldnt spell that right) Pet for $1500.00 and breeders for $2500.

Its comfy but it dont rock and I am forever moving around in my chair. It wont give me even a wiggle. It has buttons to move instead of the stick on the side and I paid way more then I could afford. So I also feel guilty. It was the stimulus money so now if my brakes go out we are screwed.

Ive never in my life bought a new piece of furniture . Til now that is and I feel guilt . Big time. Wondering what I could sell to try and put some $ back in the account. Some tanks maybe?Am I being silly? Robert said I am. He says I got a really good bargain.

How do you do milk training? Just go thru the motions of milking?

Basically. I am just pretending I am milking them. Obviously, they don't have much of an udder yet, but its a good opportunity to train them. They are starting to really love the milking stanchion.

So we had a skunk show up in our yard tonight. Did it ever stink!
I walked along one fenceline, and along the river. Was picking up rocks and tossing them over by the fence. Saw a squirrel, and an usual small wild duck. Mersanger? I think.
Also found a mushroom i have not seen here before. I think it's a morel?
