He doesnt. I just dont want to see him in pain. thats the main thing with me. Do you think the pain will be less after its pulled ?

Sure. It will take a few days to feel all better, but having a broken tooth with exposed nerves and possible infection is really painful. It sure as heck won't be worse.

I think the flipper will be a waste of money. I could see if it was a front tooth to have one for looks but to have it in the back just dont make sense to me. He thinks he will be able to use it to eat jerky with and sticky candy.

Anticipation can be much worse than the actual event. Just let it happen.

it will be a replacement tooth that will connect to his other teeth to hold it in place sorta like a mini denture.
