Granny's gone and done it again

Getting tired of horribly hot days. Too hot to work outside.
How about you, Granny?
Oh I know its nasty hot out. My air has run non stop all day. I have been ok today except for that trip to town. Stinking ac isnt working right.

Star, hows your shrimp doing? I havent heard about them for a while.
Going gluten free is pretty easy actually…easier than I thought at least. Dairy free is harder…I gave in and had yogurt this morning. Already feeling better though. Maybe I really do have a gluten issue.
You can get alternative yogurts - I used to get goat milk yogurt up north but there’s soy and almond based yogurts too.
My mom has a gluten allergy too. Google sez genetics play a big part in gluten sensitivity. They make gluten-free bread, but everyone knows those are darn awful lol. Luckily I’m not super fond of bread…could definitely live without that. Cookies are a hard one to deal with though…
I think it’s glutino that has an Oreo type cookie that’s freaking yummers.

Sigh. Not gonna lie. Gonna be good to be back to a one dog household. Aaaand someone’s setting off fireworks. The sun is still up you twits!!! Inside for us.

Oh holy crap. I am so not surprised by a text I just got from the BossLady.

So we’re a small office. Bossman, BossLady, me, other admin, and two guesstimators.

Other admin has tomorrow off. So would have just been me and guesstimators.

Well. One guesstimator is “sick”, the other tested positive for covid.

All by myself…

Gluten is what makes wheat flour dough sticky and stretchy. It's what holds a slice of bread together while still being soft and tender.
Hard to replicate in gluten free products, but they are getting better.
I really like oatmeal, so that's pretty much my favorite source of grain/fiber. It hasn't caused any issues for me, so assuming that if any gluten cross-contamination has occurred, its minimal.
