Try this for the mites. Easy peezy! I would do it all over, or spot treat.. usually bum. But this stuff works! You can find it at pet stores, because it's for mites on small birds. Works on small birds? I thought, should work on chickens. Yep. Like no other! I put it on the butt, tummy, chest, back, back of neck, under neck, under wings, legs if needed. Never had a problem with my chickens getting mites on legs. Cheap..easy...works!Well. Nobody has laid claim to the leggy. And she made it through the night. Soooo….I think I’m going to relocate goose’s bigger crate (currently in the motorhome) into the garage (need to do some cleaning in there) to give her a bit more room and maybe find something to set her up a roost of sorts so she’s more comfortable. Gonna keep spraying with the vetricyn and I have some wound care salve coming from chewy.
I know mites are gonna be a problem since she can’t dust bathe. I’m torn between doing some spot poofing on her - being careful to avoid the open wounds or….I don’t know. My plan/hope is once her wounds scab up or heal up enough where she can be around dust and such maybe set up the quarantine/grow out coop somewhere. Little bit better than crate in the garage.
Humid as frogs this morning. Ugh!
..is it fall yet? I want soup season. Even though it’s not a season down here….sigh.
