Granny's gone and done it again

Oh my gosh. Looked at husband's notes....and guess what. Guess where our stop is on our beetle home? KLAMATH FALLS , OR!

WHOO!

...not going to have too much time to tour I don't think, long long days driving to get home again but hopefully!

Oh this poor gentleman. Has had to put me on hold SO MANY TIMES so he can figure out whiskey tango flamingo.

I love how the robo lady on the irs hold...."our representatives are currently helping other customers. Please continue to hold"

...I wouldn't really call me a customer. It's not like I have a choice in this.

PS. TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION. Isn't that why you left the commonwealth? ;)
I bet you feel more like a victim!

That's what they're for!

Same here!

Well, Sunday I was on the road with #2, driving to Goldendale, Washington. We left home at 4:30am. Took almost 11 hrs.

Mt. Shasta, CA. Getting close to the Oregon border. They had fire up here a few years ago. Dead blackened pines for miles. I remember on the news that Hwy 5 was shut down completely for several days. My pics don't show how bad it was. Dead tress as far as you could see in all directions. The hill in the background was burned naked.

Couple hrs later we crossed into Oregon. It was so pathetic how excited we were to see all the water at Klamath Falls. Just beautiful! (Pro, this is inland, along hwy 97, in case you want a look.)

Those are huge reed beds out in the water.

And all the volcanic features are cool looking.

There are miles of pine in this area.

In fact, there was a long chain of volcanoes much of the way north into Oregon. Beautiful views.

And then it turned to scrub.

And pretty soon we got to the border with Washington.

An hour later we checked into our motel and then we went to meet the puppy!

He is curious and unafraid and sweet as can be with a lot of frenetic puppy play and maybe just a bit of the devil. But just a bit.

And then we left him and went back to the motel to try to sleep.

To be continued later...
Absolutely adorable!
