Feels like 79° at 2:45 am! Soaked in sweat from doing chores just now. Plus one of the hens is a bit droopy, betting it is mites again. So, as soon as i get a cold drink i will take her up in my bathroom and wash her.

Have you tried oil on them? If on the dog's legs it should work well and quickly. Two nurses in my family use it on their children, Skin So Soft preferred, but any oil will do as it smothers them. Rub on thoroughly and leave a minute. Then just wash them off with Dawn or dog shampoo.

Oh my goodness! It's pouring! I mean poring, for a good half an hour! Thunderstorm too. I like me a good summer thunderstorm, hoping it isn't beating down my veggies garden.

There’s something that every so often triggers our coop door so half our girls were locked out for an unknown period yesterday….I feel awful. I wish hubs would just get rid of the remote bs, this isn’t the first time it’s happened.

Sooo I’ve asked my friend who I’ve watched her dog….but I may also ask some other people…I hate to say this but I don’t really trust her to check on them even every couple of days. (Usually when we go anywhere for a week I supplement with a flock block so they’ve got something - but this is two weeks. Yikes)

Im sure its hard on you. a couple flock blocks maybe and extra waterers?
