Granny's gone and done it again

Well i just came in at 3:45, after doing nightly chores. Also dusted all the chickens for mites. I really, really hate most bugs. Guess i need to go back to washing all the chickens. And cleaning and spraying all the coops. Not that i really stopped cleaning and spraying, but i just can't seem to do it all often enough. More chickens must go!
Nancy is picking me up tomorrow to go to ceramics and Lowes. I need to get paint for my bathroom.

Have some goose content and random memes while I get payroll done.

Yeah we did a quick walk to get the mail yesterday. Yes my car is dirty. It’s been about three weeks of not washing it and we live on a dirt road. In my defense it’s been drought-y, so I’ll say I’m doing my part to conserve water ;)

Got husband to pick up feed and goose treats at the food store yesterday. Yay. F98EFE77-74A1-4EB1-9344-2E7BC6E6BB51.png 817EE79E-62F0-414F-B4CA-8BF8B1F43B68.jpeg 03CAE089-FDB6-4D42-90FE-E17C6806041D.jpeg

I try to make sure to have quik stop on hand. My friend has a rooster that had a bumble on his foot that was pretty swollen. She just couldn't bring herself to do anything about it for fear of hurting him. Next time i went there, i brought my medical stuff and went to work on it. Soaked the foot in epsom salts to loosen it up. . Removed the black scab with tweezers, the plug came out with it. But the swollen area wouldn't drain. I made several small incisions, trying to get any pus out. It bled like crazy. Put quik stop on, held pressure on it for several minutes. Bandaged with gauze and vet wrap. Told her to give him lots of high protein treats. He loved that.
Any way, he healed up well and she says to this day that i saved his life! I wouldn't go that far. But she felt relieved to get him cared for.
Thanks, Cap. Corn starch will also work, won't it? To aid clotting?

Welcome to my harvest! GirlChild's shades for scale, she left them here yestterday. My maters have blossoms but setting no fruit yet. Shortage of pollinators??? May have to get out there with a paintbrush. 😕
Thank you, Twist, for the seeds!
