Granny's gone and done it again

Evening, all. Cap, you crack me up. That's true about snakes unless they're venomous, but it makes me so mad when they steal my eggs! I never had issues with snakes until I got chickens, but now I just go into a rage! Shame on me.

It's not the eggs thst piss me off so much as the broodies they kill. And then can't swallow anyway. This year is weird. Rarely see any snakes except the odd copperhead.

I got about half of the edges of walls in the bathroom painted. Pots washed, and some laundry dried. Pulled a few weeds. Hubby coming back in 3 days, so i have to do some serious cleaning.

We have three acres that we're renting and we are the general caretakers of the whole farm which is 320 acres.

good job. I dont have chickens anymore. Predator got them and I decided not to get any more.

I think it would do you a world of good to have 3-4 chickens. I think you would really enjoy them. not that I'm an enabler or anything.

lol I would if I was able to water them in the winter. Its ust too much for me now. I really miss them.

220 acres tillable and the rest is a mix of hardwoods and marsh with a creek going through the whole 1/2 mile width. It's an interesting place to be.

For your viewing pleasure here is an Indian Pipe plant. These are 8-9” tall, usually when I see them they are 4-5” tall.

Whos getting married? Did you go to that?

It was a friend hubs used to work with. I didn't go. Gave him a chance to catch up with a bunch of people he knew. I wouldn't have known anyone, and he would have felt obligated to leave early.
(You know that's a bit of bs... I'm happier at home!)

Feel like I'm getting a split personality with this pup. Half the time he's a cuddly snuggle bug and half the time he seems about ready to chomp my arm off. Should of named him Sharkie.

She would LOVE them, but she could never stop at just 3 or 4!
