Granny's gone and done it again

I googled ED . umm.....
LOL I know, that's where I went first when I saw ED...thought uhhh...Cherry....you got the wrong bits for that I thought!

your feelings are real and worthy of you taking time to explore them. I hope you understand what Im trying to say.
You said it well Granny.
sorry I took off on you.
That was My Nancy that called. She went by ambulance to er last night for chest pains. They sent her home. she took her nitro that helped. She insists on coming thursday. Said they need the money. I wish I had some to give her. Im not going to let her work. Robert said he will vacuum.
What the....is there not any kind of short term disability or something she can be on??? what the heck American social system? I mean....holy censored.
Ugh I don't know what I would do without you guys. Felt like I was drifting pretty far for a second there. Glad to have a place where I feel like I belong. You guys are real blessings! I was so scared of posting something that vulnerable for the longest time. Love this judgement-free, but at the same time knowledgable space.
We've been around the block a few times...let the old coots guide you ;)
My culture came back with a very nasty bacteria. Only sensitive to Cipro and some other IV antibiotics. Cipro is very scary. Lots of bad side effects. I am taking because it is the last ditch effort before surgery. I think it is working. No more ugly drainage. I just hope I don’t suffer the sid3 eff3cts of ligament or tendon pain. I already have trouble with those things.
My doc used to give me cipro all the time...(would get uti's).
When i was grooming dogs as a job, never had a mean springer to work on. Cocker Spaniels were a different story! Always trying to bite when you cut their nails.
Ohhh we had an american cocker when I was a young'un. He was a grouch!
Also, very glad it never got to the point that I had to put either my sister or my husband in one...they died here at home. I was blessed this could happen. It was getting pretty hard towards the end with my husband.
I mean, they're not all bad...there are some decent ones out there. And lets face it...not everyone CAN care for aging family.

I don't see why people are so anti-antidepressants. Sure, sometimes it takes a bit to find one that's the right fit for you. Sometimes it may not be antidepressants you need but some other form of therapy. HOWEVER...I look at it this way. People wear glasses. Get braces. Same thing. You were born with or developed something that makes you a little less "functional". If antidepressants HELP you, then do it.

I think it's the stigma attached to " mental illness".

She gets SS because of her age. If theres something else we dont know about it.

And again, bulltweety.

Is she an employee of some company that hires her out to do the cleaning? Does she get a w2 issued every year, or a 1099? She's getting paid by someone to clean your house, she's someones employee, she should be entitled to SOMETHING other than JUST SS.

You tell her to call the local unemployment office. They should be able to direct/advise her better than I can.

yes she works for a company. I will tell her to check

Please do. It breaks my heart that she's pressured to go back to work when she really SHOULDN'T.

Employers have to deduct/make contributions on employee's behalf into all sorts of fun funds...though your state may vary. I know here in california we're paying into unemployment and state disability insurance.

They (the employer) may also have some sort of secondary disability insurance.
