2 am and Scooter is gone. He had a 4th seizure and was coughing up blood... we were hoping he just bit his tongue. Went to emergency vet and while they were assessing him there was a 5th seizure, more blood in lungs, big trouble breathing. Poor baby was put to sleep.
I'm going to miss him. He was a happy good dog.

Im sorry for your loss Wishing. A very sad day. Scooter will be missed by all of us. Everyone is taught that angels have wings but we know they have 4 paws.

Morning all, a rough start to the day. Frosty crapped on the floor again. diarrhea of course. hurt my back and leg..

I have been struggling to find a new groomer for the dogs. I finally got in at petsense. I expected them to be expensive but they are the same as my old groomer. $41,00 and easy to get to. wednesday at 10. So another early morning. She said allow 2 hrs. per dog.

not good, but okay. Im open to meds now and my mom supports my decision. Apparently there is only one medication that can help with my condition. If this doesn't work I'm not sure what I'll do...I sorta need this to work. Have a therapist session today, will ask her for details then.

Yes, but I'm not really experiencing any hyperthyroidism symptoms at all, apart from some things that might just be related to or caused by my ED. The doctor is saying that there is a possibility that the test is inaccurate. I hope it is...would be one less thing to fix. I honestly don't care about my weight in particular...guess it just reminded me of the harsh reality of it all. Feels like everything is slipping out of my control ya know? Almost like its finally getting to me. idk, it feels unreal.

That's our friend's dog, Daisy. They're off at the river and decided the boat would be too packed to add her to the mix...and since she and Goose are besties, she just flung her my way

Sorry Wishing. I could tell he was so, SO loved. You did a great job with him, even until the end. Not many owners would do what you did. He was such a spoiled dog, I've never seen a dog with more toys! Rest in peace, Scooter. Sending hugs...I know it cant be easy.

My primary doctor suspects the blood test is wrong, so took another one to see if my thyroid really is an issue. I have gained 7 pounds since last week. I can't tell you how much its impacted me. I haven't ever been this heavy in my life. I used to think 110lbs was overweight and here I am....

Its awful. I don't know how anyone can sugar coat this, yet they do. My day started off awful already. Had a bad morning so made I late to school. I entered the classroom just as the bell rang, and of course the teacher still marked me tardy. Since then, my day has just gone downhill. Had to drop by the wellness center today...was feeling very down...but mostly wanted to avoid people. After that, I just went to Safeway and dropped by the doctor's office. So yeah, that's pretty much my day. Blood work, EKG, weight gain, and school...

Oh and did I mention the phlebotomist literally moved the needle while it was IN MY ARM trying to find my vein?? Blood was dripping through the sides, it was pretty sloppy work. Pretty sure its gonna bruise tommorow...man, I sure miss the phlebotomist I saw last time. I always forget to appreciate those who are experienced in their profession, but I should definitely acknowledge that more now. Mad respect for those guys.

It sure hurts when people fish around for a vein when they miss it! I allow 2 sticks, if they can't get it by then, i want someone else. Being a nurse myself, i have done many blood draws and started IVs.
