Ugh. Freaking cost of everything. I went to the deli counter for some lunch meats for hubs…Genoa salami used to be $6.99 a lb usually. 9.99 now. Roast beef? Could get it on sale for 7.99-8.99. Usually was 9.99. Freaking $13.99 now. Chicken. CHICKEN. used to be able to get bone in skin on bits (thighs, drums) for 99 cents/lb. NOPE!
Golly can I go live off in an island somewhere with good soil, decent amounts of precipitation and no gophers? Grow my own crap.
Super chicken?!? Someone posted a clip. I’ll have to look at it when I don’t have a sleepy hubs next to me.
90s. And blast from the past was an adorable move!!!
Sigh. So had a goose adventure this morning, the terd Ferguson. Walked to the feed store (made plans before for hubs to come pick us up from there since I needed chicken feed and shavings). So we get there, I text him…he ignores us for a bit and eventually comes down in the sketchy truck. Bad #1 - goose will mount up in a diesel but isn’t happy being around outside of one. Bad #2 - didn’t clear space for goose. So while I’m trying to make room for him, he slips his collar and luckily stays on the sidewalk and bolts into the store! Hubs went in the one door, I got him at the other but the game was on for a little bit until a store employee helped corral him. :/ not good, and could have been a very bad situation. Luckily, it ended well, but Oi. I think next time I try to have hubs pick us up from anywhere I’m just going to tell him to take my car. Nuts to it.
And then I saw a piece of paperwork for the “new” car “we had to get”….so the bill of sale from the auction place to the old owner…in the footwell of the passenger seat but not the bill of sale from the old owner to me (yeah put it in my name cause then I can just take it to triple a and deal with it there) so I say oh ish. Find it in the back where goose could have damaged/slobbered on it…so yeah. Not pleased. It’s now tucked away inside and I’ll deal with all my dmv fun when we’re back - last time I had usps hold my mail they didn’t and everything got stolen - so I am waiting to renew/change registration/etc.

Morning all, slept bad. I need a pillow. My neck hurts. Hope everyone is having a good day so far.
It’s a Monday. Sigh. I had a dream where I had it with work and I rage quit.
Was so sad when I woke up and realized nope. Still need this job.

I wish. Had a facebook memory of my life in biglaw.
I was blissfully happy working as a legal assistant in corporate law. I didn’t panic if I dared take any time off. I didn’t have to overly babysit anyone else. (The other admin…oh my goodness I can’t even with her right meow) was paid well and had great benefits.
And then I moved down here.
