Granny's gone and done it again

Hi guys, been sorta busy catching up with tests...missed 4 tests and 1 exam (for English) while I was gone. Luckily my English teacher is pretty chill about absent work. While I was making up for the exam today, it started hailing! Haven't gotten that in a while, it was nice to get some rain. In-person school is actually so much easier than being homeschooled. Even my AP bio teacher is laid-back. He legit said that if we get a 5 on the AP test (AP scoring is 1-5), we automatically get an A in his class (no matter what grade we had before)! Why do we even try?? lol. My brother got a 5 on the AP bio test and said it was relatively easy, so I'm not too worried. Plus, bio is hella fun. If I wasn't blessed with such easy teachers, I probably would've just went back to homeschooling...I kinda still prefer working at home vs. on campus.

Did I tell you guys about the test that allows freshman (or older) students to automatically get a high school diploma, and legally be able to skip high school?? I think I did, but a long time ago. Even though I ended up not choosing to take the test, my brother did...and he passed!! He is still choosing to stay in high school atm, but is taking college courses on the side. In other words, nothing really changed. He's always been doing dual enrollment. Another great thing that happened this week is that my Latin teacher informed me that she is planning to put together an honors course next year!!! Which means I would be able to take AP Latin my senior year. It's a GREAT thing, since I absolutely LOVE Latin. Of course I'm bias, but it's so much more fun than learning Spanish. Picked up my meds last night. I'm nervous to try them. Probably soon.

And you can make that
Hi h20. How's your little Paisley?

Pi is growing like a weed. His legs are so long. Finally finished his parvo shots. He likes going on walks... so much of the world to see and discover, like cars actually move! Went to the feed store this afternoon and he walked on the leash checking things out and meeting people. He gets a lot of attention, maybe not the best thing. He's a little timid by nature. Some people he liked right away though.

Sounds like things are looking up for you.
Guess being busy helps. Food isn't the only thing I cope with now. I have temporarily stopped playing the harp, but I have also picked up the ukulele again. Trying to be easier on myself...
Getting your GED is one way to go, but then you lose out on being around people your own age.
That actually doesn't bother me as much as it may bother others. I go to school mostly for education. Probably makes me sound extremely boring but it's true. Sure I talk to people and try to be friendly, but it's the classes that excite me. Seeing loads and loads of people is often draining for me. I actually used to get along with people my age really well, played the popular kids game, and got involved in friendship wars too. It wasn't until my family moved for the 7th time that I realized how much I had fallen out of the loop. Can't say I miss the drama, but I sure miss the friends. I had a lot of great friends and it's really not just a matter of "making them again" (especially in high school). Honestly though, if I could fast forward everything else, I would, but GED is not something I want to get early. There are just too many hopes and dreams I need to accomplish first.

I'm with ya on the nervous part with new meds. I'm on another new one. I suffered with a full blown painful migraine all day yesterday and last night. I took the new med, woke up without the pain. I haven't had the painful migraine in a while. This Vestibular Migraine is usually a quiet one. It's under the umbrella of migraines. Who knew their were different kinds? Like.. dementia.. different kinds. I'm reading good things about this new med on a migraine site I'm on. People react differently to meds..just hoping this one works for me. Didn't mean to hijack your post! I pray for you cherry..I'm really hoping you will give this med a try, they can take a while. One guy that's in the one I'm starting said it took around 6 weeks for it to start working, now he's doing really well. I remember when I started my Celexa it took about three weeks and then I was surprised at how more relaxed I was. Give it some time, take it at the same time every day. And hey..you are one smart cookie in school. Glad you got caught up on some things. I can actually see you ready to take on some college classes..if you haven't already. :)

I’m glad your feeling better today. Thank you Cynthia, I’ll probably try it tomorrow. When I went in for the endocrinologist appointment, they weighed me again, and the 7lbs I gained in one week was again lost. Can’t say I’m surprised, probably caused by excessive water retention. I’m not taking college courses yet, unless AP counts. AP used to mean something, but now I barely know anyone who isn’t taking 5-8 APs. Especially Koreans. Definitely not in a racist way, just that all the Koreans I have met are extremely competitive in terms of school. It’s really fun talking to them.
