If I don't, it gets weevils. Actually, as I understand it, all flour has weevil eggs. If I don't freeze it, they hatch. Especially the whole wheat.

I have big big bins of wheat..and a lot..from the 70's! Scott had them when we got married. I never threw them out, they moved when we moved. I tried germinating them. Didn't grow.

my front living room doesnt have an overhead light or it would have a fan too.

Yeah, and to make matters even more interesting, the FDA allows a certain number of weevil eggs and mouse/rat droppings in the flour you buy.

Think about that over your morning toast, sports fans. LOL. I try not to.
