Granny's gone and done it again

DH went out yesterday and brought in a big wagon full of wood to supplement the face cord we have stacked in the shop. Anything to keep from having to go out and fill the wagon three times a day.

We bought one of those big garden type wagons with the collapsible sides at Tractor Supply and it has become one of the protected pieces of machinery on the farm. We use that thing for hauling everything from bags of feed to wood.

We should be alright too unless the power goes out and even if it does, they work hard to bring it back on line here.

What's the temp down there? It's -2° here at the moment and the wind chill is something like -24°
Three times a day? That's a lot of wood. Hubby puts the wood in a canvas sling and totes it into the house himself. Tough guy.

any more frozen pipes? I was wondering if I should let a faucet drip tomorrow night. supposed to be -5.
I've been doing that at nights in my kitchen. I also open the cabinet doors underneath. The sink is right up by the back wall. It's been getting into single digits at times.

Ooh. Good luck keeping your pipes thawed, Cynthia! We'll probably let our faucets drip when it gets really cold too. We have a little space heater in the well house. We used to just keep a light bulb in there, but today's light bulbs don't generate enough heat to keep it warm anymore.

And in good news, the tree is decorated!

You live about 5-10 minutes from my aunt. I hope to come her this spring. Maybe we can all get together. Hope you get your glasses soon.
