We agreed to do the farm chores for a couple that went out of state for a family Christmas get together. They were not setup well for this weather. We got the animals situated in a so so manner, but at least they are out of the brutal wind. They have a woodstove and a plug-in electric heater. The electric heater gave out so now we have to fire the woodstove every 6 hours. They are only six miles from here, but with the blizzard-like conditions it seems a lot further.

The animals are lucky to have your help.

How much does he weigh?

He's at least 30lbs. Been a few weeks since he's been weighed.

yes, hips. I tried calling them back a few times and finally got through at 4 only to be told they were all gone and call back tuesday.

Our first Christmas here on our farm in 09 was a white one. Got about a foot of snow that year. A couple of days before Christmas we happened to look out the front window and going down the road was one of the Amish farmers driving a two hitch horse drawn sleigh. An honest to goodness sleigh! He had gone around the neighborhood and picked up all the kids and delivered them safely to school that morning.

It was like a Currier and Ives picture for real, the horses trotting out smartly and this big sleigh full of kids the whole world white.

All that was missing was the jingle of sleigh bells. Always wondered if they were not a part of the Amish culture but boy that morning they should have been.

I know everyone will be busy tomorrow and Sunday. If you don't stop by Merry Christmas before hand. If you get the chance and have access to Amazon Prime Videos, try to watch this Christmas special. DH and I stumbled upon it yesterday while looking for Christmas music. I set down and watched every minute, just in awe of the musical talent and the beautiful voices. It was also very funny in places.

IDK yall, washing dishes will be hard to rinse. Now I cant take a shower either. I dk know about Roberts shower. I didnt check it. Hurt my back trying to plunge the sink. I dont know where its frozen at. Im so very frustrated

It seems to me, the trap would be the only place that would have water in it to freeze. The rest should be clear of water.
