Had a headache today, which turned into a migraine. So not much got done today.

Ow, sorry to hear, Cap! Feel better soon. Weather? GirlChild has headache today too. TheMan had to go get her from friend's house, left her vehicle there. Roads still icy, too.

I "think" the coldest this round was -23 with windchill -57*

We had wind gusts of up to 60 mph yesterday. Took Angie and Lacie over 4 hours to travel 100 miles on the interstate , took me about 2 hours to run out to the farm and back yesterday. Visibility would go from great to about 100 feet and then the icy spots and pillow or bed sized drifts.

Scary! Glad everybody made it safely.

yaks are doing great, chickens ok other than slow/low egg production.

Well Star is a repeat offender at the pound. She went up a snow bank and over the fence. This happened while I was picking up Mike. pipe in the basement of the house at the farm burst. He just shut the water off to the house and shut/turned the water heater off. pipes in the garage/storage unit here at the motel burst had a lake in the parking lot THISI notice as I was leaving to get Mike. One of my monthly renters (NOT FOR MUCH LONGER) decided at some point to pull the thru the wall ac unit in Mike's old room and haul it down to her apartment so NO HEAT in that entire building. over and inch of ice in the upstairs bathroom. Plumbers were here the 23 and 24 and back again today. They have about $800.00 into parts already. The 'crazy lady" is currently in jail as she 'borrowed' another nightly tenet's truck (they left it running to warm up) They are coming back this evening.

yes evidently She, mother nature and old man winter have worked out some type of deal/arrangement.

Sunny might get to live until next fall.

The road down into the farm is blocked with snow drifts. So everything from town had to be humped from the mail boxes down. Mike has managed to keep the road between both yak areas and the chickens open.

It is taking us 4 hours to drive what should be 2 hours.

Our first good walk post covid. Went to the coffee shop but went a bit later than normal. By the time we left, I was texting hubs commenting on the heat of the sun…well, he had to get some provisions from Napa anyway so…he picked us up there.

Going to do a Costco run tonight….the hour before closing

Angie's EX brother in law ( huge pot head) was evidently driving back last night as well and managed to roll their pickup. One nephew with a broken collarbone and the other one with just a few stiches over his eye. POT head dad refused medical attention and he was also the driver.
