Granny's gone and done it again

Dad's mom was married once before, and had Loren (martin) middle name after her father and the Marlis Ann, She got divorced late 1920's early 1930's. Became my Grandfather's housekeeper. They were married in Cananda Aug of 1933 and my father was born Jan of 1934. That AINT 9 months no matter how bad your math is. LMAO

First hubby was abusive and her Dr and minister told her to get a divorce before he killed her or the kids. I actually saw the letters written by them for the divorce court.
Doesn't quite explain the double name. Second husband's (your Grandfather's) last name was Martin? Sorry, I'm confuddled.

Moral of this story is IF you have a bun in the oven before you get married and don't want EVERY one in the future to know. Don't put your wedding date on your tombstone and then have your "bun" burried about 15 feet from you.

Yep he was Arthur Wayne Martin Jr. He formally adopted both Loren and Marlis.

Flower children were zonked out a lot of time
I've heard it said that if you remember the 60's you weren't really there.

I actually do remember them. I was more of a spectator, lol.

A good man. Good night, Twist. Life happens to us all. I'm glad your mom got out of a bad situation and found a good man.
