For brooder bedding I use pine shavings first then switch to pellets when their legs are stronger.

I use a layer of sterilized dirt ( around an inch of so) and then cover it with about 3 layers of tissue paper. Stays there until the chicks/hens are big enough to join gen pop.

Granny more polish eggs have signs of life

figures as being polish they're a "little slow'
