Yup, all that testing does get expensive. Hips, elbows, eyes... I don't even know what else, depends on the breed I guess. You've probably told us but I missed it, what breed are these? You're a brave soul having unaltered females together, there's a reason the term for female dogs has come to have an alternative meaning!

I actually prefer males, myself. They generally seem calmer to me.

Genetics. Don't want to breed 2 carrier dogs. 3 of my girls are neutered lol and 1 of those is a problem starter so it's not so much the hormones. I mostly have aussies but Winnie is a mini dachshund and my 3 neutered dogs are yorkie and yorkie poo over the age of 9.

Every male dog we've ever had has not been the brightest.

Her dad is a show dog, mother does search and rescue. Dad won Best of Opposite sex to the Shepherd that won Best in Show at Westminster!
