I still think a lab or lab cross would be good. There is a reason they are so popular.

These are Spitz type breeds... pointed ears and curled tails. Generally not considered easy going.
Sis had an Akita. She was a beautiful girl, well behaved, aloof... and an only dog.

Yes, I tried it too. Didn't seem to do a good job. There was some other site that seemed to work better, but can't remember what it was.
