Granny's gone and done it again

I can't imagine being more sick than having to go down on my hands and knees on some days to keep falling over. It's like a magnet pulling me to one side or the other, hard. Thank goodness that isn't happening as often as it was. Like I said, I became chronic vertigo once Scott passed. I'm learning to get anxiety out of the way. Not take things personal, don't stress. Hard not to stress when so much happens with the kids, health wise or other. I care for them so much.
Wow, Cynthia, this is just harsh! I'm so sorry to hear it is this severe. Have you been to an ENT specialist? Mayo clinic level?

We went out for dinner tonight at Olive Garden, it was very good. Mother's Day, early.
Sounds good! I love OG! The nearest one to us is in Cape, 2.5 hours away.

Did you know the Olive garden and Red lobster are owned by the same people? If you have an Olive garden gift card you can use it at Red lobster and visa versa. I learned that the hard way. We went to Olive garden with a gift card and they told us. LOL I would of picked Red lobster !
Did not know that! OG for me, all the way. Do not like seafood or the smell of it.

stands for “International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme”

Basically a really complex way of saying an IB diploma. It’s kind of like the research-based equivalent to an AP class just slightly harder. I’m still debating if it’s worth it or not. It’s a program originally from the UK so it’s more popular there. I first heard of it from a student from the UK, actually
Sounds genius level. Except as you say, how learning standards have been lowered. But what are you going to do, hold everybody back until they pass? Not gonna happen.

The closest OG to us is about 45 minutes away, in Danville. I had seafood alfredo, it was really good.

And it's not $500 in repairs every month. Even the old hoopties give you a few months grace every now and then ;)
True that, although lately it seems we've been putting that much into one car or another, almost every month! that's what we get for having three old/ oldish cars ... but since right now even used cars are sky-high. I just think, hey, if Cuba can keep all their 50's models running to today, we should be able to keep our 2012 and 2014 cars going down the road with a little determination and duct tape!

50's cars were real metal, without computers etc to cause issues. As far as i am concerned, car makers have failed to maintain quality.

And that's true, too. My little Chevy Sonic (2014) is evidently made out of aluminum foil. 😒

Yeah, was offered at my high school. Thought about it...but I wasn't nearly studious enough.

I'm with you on the seafood. It's been a long time since I've done OG...it was getting pricy before, I shudder to think what inflation has done to it now.

2012 and 2014???? Shoooo, that ain't nothin!

Our fleet has a pair of 97s, a pair of 93s, (ok, one is a motorhome) and the "new" is the 2009....and the 2022...budgetary pain in my bum lol

Though I do wonder if any of the newer volvos will be able to hold a candle to the longevity of the old counterparts.

I do wonder that anyway with the insistence of electric vehicles too. Gosh the cost of battery replacement would be enough to junk one I'm sure. Crazy thought, the waste of that.
