Granny's gone and done it again

Overall, that is the response I expected. My own reaction was one of dismay. The scientist doing this was all tickled about how this will be good for the planet, but basically it seems to be trending toward more warehouses and manufacturing plants ... which require power. Not sure this will actually be good for the planet. Also the idea of eating this meat creeps me out. It may be good for the chickens, I suppose .. we all know how chickens are treated in the system of preparing them for the table. That could certainly be improved. But this ... seems rather ghoulish to me.

Did you guys see where they are producing chicken meat ... in test tubes now? What do y'all think of this? Would you eat it? Is this a good thing, or not? Obviously it's still prohibitively expensive but they think it will be commonplace and cost-effective in just a few years. What think ye?
My main rule is don’t mess with Mother Nature. It never ends well.

Too, if we stop eating animals, their numbers are gonna get out of control. What then? We go back to eating animals?
Right, then chickens will just be pets and have no useful function. That might make some people very happy. Stop breeding so many, keep their numbers down! But that's not nature's way ... and what about when they apply this method to cattle? We won't need cows any more. Just clone one cow's cells forever, let the rest go extinct. Along with ranchers. And butchers. Gee, what will these people do for a living?

People push and push and push. Their way is the only way.

It's almost dark here and the young hoodlum are even looking at a coop door yet.
I have to wait for full dark for my hooligans. YOUTHS these days...YOUTHS!
