Granny's gone and done it again

Made my first zucchini bread today. I actually haven't baked in a while. Turned out yummy. I haven't planted the green squash in years. I'm getting a lot of yellow coming on too. Ate some for dinner. Someone mentioned making yellow squash fritters. I think I'm going to try that. I'm pretty sure I'll be freezing green squash and giving some of both away. 😅

that looks good.

Been kinda busy lately. My mom took us to disneyland with some friends as planned. And on the same day one of our goats kidded. It was a mess to say the least, planning that I am very NOT proud of. It’s a very long story but now Nutmeg has a little buckling. I slept for an entire day after the trip down to LA. We stopped by several other places and also got to visit Carmel on the way back. Carmel is such a beautiful place. I love everything about it except the steep streets. My brother and I were talking about how we’d have to save up for 2 lifetimes just to afford a “decently-sized” house there. Wouldn’t be a great ROI but at least it’s pretty there. Oh and also, I found a tiny weed in Kiki’s eye today…ouch. Was wiping her down as usual when I saw. It was her left eye, seems a little pink/swollen but otherwise fine. We ran out of original neosporin otherwise I’d put some on. Ordered some off amazon in case the swelling doesn’t go down. I’m pretty sure it will, it’s not too bad. The quail are maturing fast! I’m guessing they’d be fully feathered within the week. Oh and remember Freddy and Bella? They are surprisingly still alive and well. I say surprisingly cause they are my first real houseplants. I’m turning 16 next week which feels a bit surreal. And then we go out of the country the week after that. I’m behind on my biology textbook yet again. I’m gonna try and grind through a few chapters tonight. This was a poorly put together update but stay with me y’all🤣 okay, Kiki really wants to play fetch. Talk to y’all later.

Before you know it, you will turn 67 like my hubby did the other day! Time flies.
