I just heard the first rooster to crow. I've got ear plugs. Didn't sleep well but feel like I can now. One more hour will help me make it through the day.It is yet here we are.

Hello!Hello! Sounds just superb. "Mature themed." Hm. By today's vernacular and social currency, does that mean I should next post in the nude? (Hm. Note to self. To post, or not to post? Bah. Life is short, chickens are great. Post, and see what happens!)
I'm in the same boat, sleep wise. No roosters, though. Too many neighbors (that I like) living in close quarters. One EE hen has a pretty good crow, but only after sunrise. She's always been a little odd socially, so we're not too surprised about her crowing. A second hen, who still lays eggs, is making attempts at crowing, but she sounds more like Tarzan choking on a chicken bone. At least they don't spout off at 4am like some roos I've had in the past. Doesn't matter much to me... it's 4am and I'm awake.I just heard the first rooster to crow. I've got ear plugs. Didn't sleep well but feel like I can now. Pace yourself and avoid a heat stroke. We too have been under a heat advisory several days a week. Not sure about today. 95° for a high but I think the overall index is lower than it has been a being. Time to take care of the hungry chickens now. We’re under heat advisories. I still gotta unload/clean out the motorhome, get the house in order…all sorts of things.
ISA browns mainly. I keep one special lil lady with me, wherever I go. My folks have the rest now that I have moved out. But I still see them most weekends when I'm able. So mostly we have ISAs. We also have a few strutty leghorns and have had others. And hello to you!Hello! What kind of chickens do you have?
