Yes, terrible wind that knocked out power and phones. Most people had no warning. That's bad, I'm sorry Wishing. The winds are from a hurricane off shore, I understand?
As far as we know, SIL's family all made it out okay. House is ash and her brother most likely lost his boat in the harbor.Im sorry to hear this. Was anyone hurt? Was this the place you stayed when you went there?
I'm still catching up so haven't seen any updates... praying your family is alright.I have a granddaughter in Hawaii where the fires are and I've heard nothing from my son about her. Cause for worry.
Many insurance companies are dropping fire coverage in CA. Home insurance is pretty useless if it doesn't cover fires. I think they are playing chicken with the CA Insurance Commission which severely limits how much they can charge. Got to find the balance point. If they can't charge enough to stay in business when wildfires destroy so much... makes the whole endeavor pointless.Well the motel will be insured for another year. Of course rates went up by almost 2 grand.
1800 down and 800 a month for 10 months
They should ask for parent volunteers to sit in every class.I heard on the Radio earlier this week that ND is so short of teachers that they are going to allow student teachers to actually run classes with out a teacher supervisor in the room with them.
