I've slept most of the day after a lot last night. My wife is on strong dose of muscle relaxers like I am and prednisone. X-rays revealed that she has old compression fractures and something else I've forgot. She's to go back if this round of meds doesn't keep the pain away. She is already walking around a lot better. This morning it was all she could do to get dressed.

The record high temp for today was set in 2019 at 106. We hit 110 today. Thankfully a little rain just to the east and west of me has the temperature down to 98 for now, so it's feeling a little better. The rain showers are heading south so both will miss me.

Rosie is a true omnivore. I just saw her jump up on my desk and grab a 22 pellet and swallow it. I hope it is not lead but some kind of pot metal.

Yeah. One hen ate a necklace. I had one that ate a wood screw that was to long to pass and it killed her.

Lantana & azalea are supposed to be toxic to chickens but I know mine graze on lantana lots of days.

Used to feed mine the whole polk plant minus the roots.
