I saw a thread on here talking about chickens eating all kinds of weird stuff.

I thought all that stuff lodged in their gall bladder?

I have no idea just how it does when they eat it. All the layer coops I have now ate it as youngsters and now are really healthy.

Nancy and I went to a farm and bought 2 tomatoes and a cantaloupe then we came home and she fried up the bacon while I cut the cantaloupe up. What a good dinner! I ended up have 2 sandwiches before all was said and done. I have about 5 cucumbers sitting in there too. The tomatoes were sweet candy or something like that. They were pretty sweet. I prefer the acidic ones myself. They were huge too. one slice per sandwich

I brought a bloodied up rooster in for the farm nurse to doctor up. His left side of his neck was really a mess. After getting it cleaned up triple antibiotic was applied and I gave him 2 B complex with C vitamin capsules. He refused to eat anything for us so I put him in a dog kennel that I have in the back of the van were the skeeters or predator can't get to him tonight. Had he been fighting with another rooster a second rooster should have had some sign of being in a fight as well as he should have had blood on both sides of his neck. Whatever got him nearly pulled is left earlobe off. I'm beat and haven't done a lot today to be this tired.

He is under the shade of a big oak tree and I'll roll the windows down some after daylight. He had not completely stopped bleeding when I put him to bed. I didn't dare put him back on his roost because I don't for sure where it all happened.

I think the Dentist will cost a lot less than the ER.

Well i could get my regular doctor to do it. Dentists charge over $300 now to clean your teeth.

That went from 75 to 300 quick. I hope that reflects in our SS raise next year.
