We have a trash can for burnable items, but anything that smells of food gets locked up in the well house to be picked up by trash service once a week. We used to keep it on the back porch but one night a raccoon and an opossum both came in the dog door and turned it over, and that was the end of that.ahhh thats the problem here, nothing good to toss away. lol
I was getting it from somewhere online..my brain can't remember now. Vet called me and said they were cheaper. Wait..think it was Pet Meds. Will check out chewy.Have you looked at getting it through chewy. So stuff is cheaper. Your vet ok the prescription
My younger Schnauzer loves chewing on the Nylabones. Thats Bella. My old lady Gracie will go onto the bathroom when I'm gone and if the tp is hanging down, she'll grab it and drag it out to the hall. She eats some. She'll eat tissues left around in the winter too. Thank goodness she passes it..ask me how I know ..when i go out to pick up. I try to remember to shut the bathroom door when I leave. Dogs..Thanks, Star, will check those out. Got Jenny a nylabone and she acts like I gave her a rock. Gave her an antler ... she gnaws bits off the end and then pukes them up. She likes shredding towels and paper though.
This heat is brutal for sure. Glad you're being careful.I was pulling weeds in the garden today. I had to do it for a short time and go inside for a break from the heat. I got quite a bit done in spite of the heat.
Sounds like she's coming along really well. You're doing great with her.Still have to watch them with it - but when it gets too small you can soak it in water, throw it in the microwave and then it crisps up kinda like a Cheeto. Except less bright orange lol.
Kira has been going mad for the benebones goose wasn’t a fan of. She loves the antlers too. I’ve given her a bully stick once though and that….yeah. She scarfs it down too quick and it gives her problems.
Well, update to Kira the office dog: she did very well today, and was loved on by all. No zoomies of insanity around the office, she was content to mostly just nap on her bed under my desk. (This won’t be an every day or probably even a regular occurrence thing though as BossLady insists on bringing her reactive dog into the office. Heaven forbid he get left at home for a couple hours) The only concerning thing: she didn’t go pee (or poop) once. I’d take her out for a stroll around and nope. She saved it til we got home and she was in her pee spot. Well. She’ll have to get over that when we do our Grand Adventure in October.
I do need to desensitize her to being picked up though. She likes to flop down dramatically if you try…makes loading her into the car quite difficult. Did a little bit of working with her on that at home tonight but we’ll see. I also need to measure bumper height on hubs’s car and see about getting those collapsible steps for dogs for suvs. That way could use em hopefully on my car and his bronco. Would make it easier on everyone if she could just go up and come down on her own. (But still need to desensitize her to getting picked up. You never know when that will come in handy for reasons other than car rides - emergency situations or the like.)
She’s a co-sleeper too we’ve found - and a very good one. Much like peach when it was just the two of us. She’ll just curl up and pass out.
She’s also getting used to being in the crate during meal time. She’s a bit of a mooch, unfortunately.
I figure as we get better with her general training I may be able to “place” her on the bed in the living room instead of having to crate her but she’s not there yet.
Going to look into doing some group training at petco too (where she gets groomed). Good socialization and I’m not proud when it comes to training. Sometimes it’s good to have an outsider perspective and advice on how to handle things. And since Kira thus far hasn’t shown any drastic liability behavioral issues - I think the petco trainers will do just fine. (Though I haven’t seen her interact with too many other dogs yet so that we’ll have to see how that goes)
**EDIT**
Night Granny! Sweet dreams!
Oh boy! Back to horses! Thanks, really happy. It took $84 to fill it up today! Pretty soon people won't be able to afford to drive.
Oh Goose...$5.69/gallon for high test here. Turbocharger is killin me. Though thank gosh for the work gas card (otherwise I wouldn’t be able to afford to get to work!) and the fact that the c30 is comparatively a sipper not a chugger.
Today is going to be hard. It would have been Goose’s third birthday today.
