Cashless would sure put a crimp in the drug and illegal gun businesses though. Couple of others I might mention too.

Pawn shops are cash also aren't they? I never pawn anything so I don't know.

2 that I've heard of are N Korea and China. At least some form of it.

The feds don't have to print or press coins. They can direct deposit everyone and issue cards to use to spend it. It's all digital. My last job was a DBA or database admin. I wrote programs to track who was doing what at a state college. It was tracking how counselors were spending time with students. Two many of them were standing around. My supervisor looked at my work and told me I was devious. I understand digital values and such. The power of today's computers comes in to play now. Until now there was no way to implement a cashless society. Beyond that politics get involved and I won't go there.

How is Amazon sinful any more than Walmart or any other retail outlet? I spend less at Amazon because I can avoid impulse buys a lot better! I def have to resist the "lust of the eyes" at w-mart!

Yeah, they're both bad. I spent 125 dollars yesterday at Walmart.

You think "They" can't already track your purchases? Look at your receipts when you buy groceries. If "They" want to know how many cans of beans you buy in a year, that info is already available and stored somewhere, whether you pay with cash or card. I pity the fool that's tracking my grocery purchases for a living. More boring than watching paint dry.

I was thinking similar..they..whoever they may be.. already know. YOU, report it every year..to the IRS.
