Granny's gone and done it again

I can't remember the name of the company that rebuilds transmissions but they have been in business a long long time. Google would know them. Then there is the salvage yards where the trans was not damaged in an accident that totaled a vehicle. That's to risky for me.
Yeah hubs is a diesel mechanic by trade, and knows all, so I leave the Google/what he needs to him. Whee.

The trans that’s in it was from a salvage yard (as was the body/frame) run by a long time contact/friend of hubs.

The trans that was in “sketchy” was only a 2wd one so…apparently that’s a no bueno. Bah. Stuff. Things.

Y’all don’t be surprised if you don’t see me for the next few days. Coming back after a long weekend is always shens at work - and other admin is off til Thursday later morning. (And oh my word other admin….)

Here’s some unsolicited cockerel shots for y’all. ;) and a couple of Daisy and Kira’s play date. IMG_2570.jpeg IMG_2573.jpeg IMG_2584.jpeg IMG_2592.jpeg IMG_2587.jpeg

I am confused. One site says Elon Musk is doing these to provide high-speed internet to remote areas, but another site says that a downside of them is ...

The primary disadvantage of Starlink is its high latency. This means that data takes longer to travel from the user to the satellite and back, resulting in slower connection speeds.Apr 3, 2023
We have Starlink and we love it.
We had been with Frontier as it was our only option being way out in the country and being at the end of the line. There is one other family beyond us and they only use it for a landline phone.

I'm glad that he can handle the problem and not get ripped off like can all to often happen. It's been a long time since I cold sit on the fender and put my feet down on the inside of the hood with room to work. I don't even change the oil anymore now but might start soon. Warranty is out so I see no reason not to now.

Felt like 101° at one point today. Didn't much want to go outside but i did. Pulled some weeds, watered the flower garden and the small garden behind the studio. Made a couple things out of clay. Going to get a new male goat Wednesday, so the yearlings can get bred. I need to put chicken wire around Mel's old pen so the new guy can't breed the girls through the fence.
