A good day! I made two nice loaves of sourdough bread and made chicken pot pie for dinner. Did a little laundry. A nice day, clear blue skies for a change. That doesn't happen often around here.good evening How was your day?

Tom finished my laundry as far as the dryer goes. I folded. It was really nice talking with him today. Its been so long since he could hear me. No yelling involved.A good day! Oh I made a lazy one. I had poached a couple of chicken breasts several days ago (and can't now remember why, lol), so I had some of that left over, and it was already cubed and waiting in chicken broth. So I mixed a can of cream of chicken soup with half a can of cream in a large bowl, then I dumped a can of mixed vegetables (Veg-All) in that along with the chicken. Stirred it all up good and dumped it in a casserole dish. Then I opened a can of buttermilk biscuits - we call them whop biscuits around here, cuz you used to have to whop em on the edge of the counter to open them, ha ha- and I put those biscuits on top. Then I baked it at 350 for about 40 minutes till the biscuits were brown and the gravy was bubbly.better then the past couple days for sure.
Your bread sounds so good Blue and I love pot pies. Never had one homemade before.

You mean the ones in those plastic wrappersI think there might be some American cheese slices left and I can put some of that on saltines. I know we were about out yesterday. I need to go to Wally world and get a 5lb package the next time we are over where there is one. Or even a Sam's Club. We buy the big box and freeze it in 1lb packages. Never loses freshness or goes bad.
well that sounds easy enough. what sized can of veg all do you use? Just the regular cans?Oh I made a lazy one.
