Granny's gone and done it again

This just a coop for 8 pullets and 2 roosters. Not the 40+ in the big coops at the end of the line. I've found an auction that takes all farm animals and the next event I'll be there with a kennel of 10 RIR hens. I'll be happy if I get 10 apiece. All of the RIR and Delaware hens are up for sale now. I'll only have the 10 Dark Cornish, 13 White Giants, 9 American Bresse, and 1 Cornish Cross rooster and ten at the most Cornish Cross hens. There is another coop of RIR pullets just starting to lay. If the money is right at the auction they are next to go. The first three breeds that I listed first will be used in a cross breeding program. I would really like to buy 10 Indrio Gigante chicks in the spring. Those are a novelty breed that grab a lot of attention. The roos are tall enough to peck belt buckles. At one time I had upwards of 400 and that was to many for me to manage the lifting of the feed bats every week. I had help moving feed today. Maybe again next week too. Trying to find help for the meat bird processing this week once the plucker problem is resolved. About 20 birds heading for the freezer. When I'm all done I hope to have about 40 birds total. Breeding the Indrio Gigante should be a good cash flow with 8 hens and 2 roosters.
