I've seen them before but didn't know what they were.

I had a nap after I got home from the office visit at the docs today. By the time we got home from the appointments (both of us had an appointment in the same office at the same time today) and a stop at the grocery store for a handful of staples it was time for lunch and then the regularly scheduled nap. I overslept the nap. After doing the late afternoon chores and putting all the kids to bed it was dark. I'm getting anxious to see my son and DIL for a few days this weekend. I will be drinking a lot of coffee when they are here. My son guzzles it like his brother, uncle, and grandmother did. We hopefully will fire up the grill at least once when he is here.

Tom and I have drs tomorrow. They just put us in the same room.
My shower felt so good tonight. I didnt want it to end!

I'm doing OK H2o. Granny I enjoyed my shower very much today. If it wasn't for the water bill I might still be in there.

what was wrong with you?

I'd had an emergency surgery for a blockage in my common bile duct about a month earlier and some of the dye they used pooled somewhere in my gut and got infected. My poor DH drove up to St L and back every night that week after work to come sit with me. It's three hours one way. I was so sick I didn't even know how sick I was. I was anointed, I think that's what saved me.

An elder came and anointed me with oil and prayed over me. There's nothing holy or special about the oil, it's just a symbol and represents the Holy Spirit. He used olive oil he got from the hospital kitchen. It's from this Bible verse:

James 5:14 KJV
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
James 5:15 KJV
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

SD just got baptized a week before she went in the hospital. I bet she would like having that done.

Sometimes they just dip their thumb in it and kind of wipe it on your forehead but I had a special request. I wanted him to pour it over me. So we got an emesis basin and I leaned over it and he poured a little across my forehead so it dripped into the basin. It felt like someone stroking or caressing my forehead, it was really neat. Wasn't expecting that.
