I seem to be stuck in neutral. So much to do. Son and family coming a week from today. Stuff to be done outside too. Just not feeling it.

Just remember, they are coming to spend time with you, not pass judgment on what you got done inside or out.

We are licked tonight. We dug up all those lilies last week thinking we could plant them any time, maybe in the spring even. WRONG. They need to go in the ground NOW, and not dry out. Doing my best to keep them damp. We got 23 in the ground today. Only have about 2300 more to go.

Im watching the new naked people . Its 2 hrs. tonight. Pain clinic tomorrow. That drive really sucks.

Been napping and resting most of the day. Have not even been on the porch to see the chickens out free ranging. Ma brought Honey into sit in my lap while she ate her bedtime snack of cracked corn. She's getting to spend the night inside tonight in a special cardboard coop. Hoping for an aviary to be built on the end of the porch that is predator proof for her and a 5 more like her with one rooster.

why did you dig them up blue?

They were way overcrowded and overgrown. Research indicates they should be thinned every 3 or 4 years and these were way past overdue. Production drops off - you don't get nearly as many blooms when they are overcrowded like that. Also, it was our intention to catalog them so we can sell them, that would also help with the overcrowding. We'll try to do that this year when they bloom so we'll know what we've got.
