They were that old and you didn't check them before you left?Brother met me in Kimbal about 6 am, which is the normal time I usually end up in Kiowa, Co. which was still about 1/2 to 2/3 of a state away.
We are pulling into Fort Morgan, Co and boom, one of the trailer tires blew. Brother had a smart phone so we found a tire place in Fort Morgan and pulled up there just as they were opening. And hour latter, and $450.00 lighter we take off with 4 new trailer tires. The ones on the trailer were so old that tire companies don't even make that style any more.
The air pressure was fine. BUT ice chunks in the highway probably caused the bugle and then the blow out. They were that old and you didn't check them before you left?
wow, I bet you were wore out.Get to Kiowa and per usual NO ONE listens to me, they let the bulls out of the trailer. So had to get them confined and out of the way so the heifers can come out. Load the bulls back up THEY were NOT AMUSED. Did meet the guy buying the heifers and he is willing to take any and all yaks I might want to sell him. I got his business card. Then back up to Sterling ,Co to unload the bulls. only 3 to 4 hours late. Stopped at Mickey D's for a quick bit and managed to swallow one of my crowns again. It has not passed yet. Then over to Cheyenne, Wy to brother's new place. VERY NICE . Finally got to bed about 9 pm on Sat , I had been up since 7 am on Friday. With maybe a couple 5 minute cat naps when brother was driving.
I was wondering about the depth of tread. The air pressure was fine. BUT ice chunks in the highway probably caused the bugle and then the blow out.
BUT wait there's more.Whew! What an experience!
