Granny's gone and done it again

Left Cheyenne Sunday afternoon. Road were decent, some wet spots and a couple with compacted snow. South Dakota was clear as a bell and made good time, Then right after Bowman , ND about 65 mile from home, Major snow event down to 20 miles an hour and at one point only the driver's side tires were actually on the road. Total white out and then meeting a semi (forget it). Got home about 10 pm on Sunday.

You don't check it with a penny? If you can see all of Lincoln's head you don't have enough tread to be safe, time for a new tire.

nope I didn't and NOW I don't have to. But it was the side of the tire that went so not sure the tread depth would have mattered.

I didn't dare pull over for fear of some one like me driving along and rear ending me.
