My husband had prostate cancer. He also had stage 3 kidney failure. Then he was diagnosed with Alzheimers. The Alzheimers got him. He did have pain in his legs. Said it felt like his bones hurt in the top of his legs. His back was a mess. Lower back. Poor guy had a lot going on. We had decided as a family not to put him through anything for the prostate cancer because of his Alzheimers. When a person has dementia, certain things can make them decline drastically. He only lived 3 years from his diagnosis, which is considered pretty quick. Although, I knew at least a couple of years before.I doubt they need to stick anything in your nose. Probably a scan of some kind on your throat. Unless you have a nose problem there is nothing they are concerned about in your nose. If there is you best tell them and buckle down and let them do their job. It's always better to find out early than find out to late. l have had tests I didn't like or want and hated but lived through them to annoy people another day.Granny they will never do a prostate biopsy on you... be thankful. BTW my biopsy was positive.
