After I eat I'm sleeping the afternoon away until time to do evening chores and coop door closings. Not what I want to do but have no choice.

I would like to pick your brain over their care...

I’m horrible with them tbh. Add more water to the tank as needed take some out if it’s gross, change the filter cartridge when I remember…they get some shrimp pellets and/or part of a pleco wafer.

Showing yesterday. Another today. And hubs broke his hand on Sunday. Off work for a while. Yikes.

Right now my wife is putting two loaves of homemade bread in the oven. I can't say no to it along with garlic butter. I just won't eat any other carbs today.

Do you have hard or soft water? What temp do you keep the tank? do you keep other fish in there? what size tank are you using? Do you have a tight lid?

3 gallon, heated…ummm kept around average tropical temp I’d need to look at the thermometer lol. I think our water is a little hard by nature. Only the shrimp, nerite snail and plants in there. No supplemental co2. Not a tight lid, there’s a gap.

Make sure it’s well cycled. I lost all my ghost shrimp (or at least can’t find em) because they were the first.
