Granny's gone and done it again

I lost another chick today, one of the Eggers. She was smaller than the others this morning and lethargic. I separated her, tried to keep her warm and hydrated, and gave her some yolk, which she weakly accepted. She had a little pasty butt so I cleaned her up. Continued to nurture her all morning but she continued to decline and I finally lost her about noon. All others remain bright and busy, though I did have to clean about three more bottoms throughout the day.
Maybe give them all electrolytes and a bit of sugar in the water?

Sorry to hear that. Did you give them save a chick?

Ribs take half way to forever to heal.

l did all the outdoor morning chores alone this morning and am feeling it. I'll be so glad when these ribs are one hundred percent healed up. At the moment they are giving me a fit. I thought I was over the hump with them but evidently I thought wrong. Again.
