Granny's gone and done it again

I dont know how much it was except it was $15 for the whole thing. Its a (insert cuss word here) shame we cant afford to eat. :hit
We have started tracking the cost of eating using a spreadsheet to record the cost of items bought each week and the total cost for the week.

Granny my first paying job where they withheld tax and SSI was bagging groceries at an A&P store. I noticed how different families that I knew from school shopped and how they bought food. One family especially. They were one of the poorest families that I knew. The kids had some clothes made out of flour sacks I think. Sure did look like the big bags of flour that came in cloth bags. The father was a common worker in the orange groves. The mother was a stay at home mom with a house full of kids. When I took out their groceries they sometimes had to carts full. Full of meat, rice, beans, potatoes, flour, sugar, etc. They didn't skimp on anything. They lived in a third world house with no luxuries and were content with it. That was a life's lesson I'll never forget. They didn't teach that at school but did at Sunday school.
